What with his failures on health care reform, financial regulations, and pretty much everything else except maybe the stimulus … I’d say his political education ain’t serving him all that well at this point.
I’d actually like to see some real corruption rankings for these cities. Is Chicago the worst, or is Detroit? How about Atlanta? Or Sheboygan? Would you calculate corruption by square mile or per person? Hm.
It may be possible to use objective rather than subjective analysis to rate city and state corruption. But with a few exceptions, in Illinois most politicians are basically cogs in the same machine, and it doesn’t matter which political party they are members of. There are competent ones and those who are serious about cleaning up corruption and waste, but those are rarities. Obama never was known for being any real reformer; his nationwide and worldwide repute as a hero who was going to be a savior was based entirely on wishful thinking. Aren’t his approval ratings at an all time low?
Believe it or not, even that doesn’t make a difference. That’s Chicago for you!
In fact, that’s part pf the reason I never supported Obama. He got his political education in Chicago!
